Natasha Zinko established her company, Natasha Zinko x DUO, under the three platforms of Sustainability, Diversity and Authenticity. Over the past 7 years Natasha has worked hard every day to continually implement practices to reduce the companies carbon wastage footprint. Change is an evolution. Commitment is a practice. Once a new practice is implemented it is carried over for every subsequent collection.
Fall 2018 Diversity has been a very important aspect of the company. She has celebrated all ethnicities, sizes and ages of models in her Catwalks and Pre-Collection Look Books.
Resort 2019 She went Fur Free and began using Deadstock Denim to reduce the amount of pollutants being discharged into the earths water table.
Spring 2019 She went paperless and stopped printing Invitations, Credit Sheets and Press Releases and only emailed all information to Press and Buyers. She began using Deadstock Denim to reduce the amount of pollutants being discharged into the earths water table. She started using recycled Ocean Sea Plastic as design details on garments.
Pre-Fall 2019 Instead of constantly buying new fabrics, she started reusing past season overstock fabrics which she restyled and redesigned in new ways to further qualify existing in season product with a longer shelf life in an ongoing effort to reduce the wastage. The print for the collection, taken by Natasha, was of garbage trucks cleaning the Miami beaches.
Fall 2019 Instead of constructing disposable sets for the Catwalk, she presented the new Collection in the NEXT Oxford Street Store without changing anything.
Resort 2020 The message used as text on all t-shirts and sportswear pieces TALK LESS ACT MORE was used across the collection. The background of the photographs were past season collections. Everything old is new again.
Spring 2020 She funds the launch of the first ever initiative, Mogu Sebe pozvolit/I Can Do It Myself, in her home town in Odessa, Ukraine of Reduce Reuse Recycle ♻ in alliance with the local authorities and investing in receptacles for plastic, paper and glass waste. All of the water donated for the SS20 Catwalk was Sponsored by CanO Water which only uses recyclable aluminium. Share partnered with Alutrade, one of the UKs largest Aluminium Recyclers who donated 500 cans which were refashioned into corsets and other pieces in the SS20 Collection.
