New Store Opening
In November 2019, Natasha Zinko x DUO officially re-opens her new flagship store in the heart of Mayfair on the corner of Stafford and Dover Streets. Together Natasha worked with Crosby Studios Architect, Harry Nuriev whose work is a mix of Bauhaus 80s art deco and Scandinavian mid-century, all rendered in vivid bold hues. He’s collaborated with Rem Koolhaas’s OMA, found representation with New York’s Patrick Parrish Gallery and has enjoyed rave reviews for his work.
Shades of Grey and Green decorate the ground floor of the store. The floral tiling is taken from traditional Ukrainian folklore. The green highlights Natasha’s message of ♻️♻️♻️ Reduce Reuse Recycle. The floors were poured to look like an airplane hangar reflecting our constant lives of mobility. The newest RTW collection, exclusive drops and fine jewellery are housed in moveable custom made perplex rails and shelving. Natasha will be partnering with New Gen CSM and Fashion East Designers offering her ground floor space gratus for up to 10 days exposing them to heightened visibility and commerce opportunities. A constant interactive environment. Natasha want to create 3 rd and 4 th dimensional retail surroundings in a traditionally old school luxury district of London. 3 projector cameras are positioned to replay fittings from the studio. A constant 24/7 interactive experience. Repurposed one of a kind furniture created using past season overstock decorates both the ground and lower ground floors. The lower ground flower is an explosion of White and Pink where customers can further explore the depths of all the collections. I want customers to feel welcome to chill, relax, and/or shop.
The codes of Sustainability, Diversity and Authenticity are the cornerstones of everything Natasha Zinko. Since Fall 2018, she has successfully introduced growing new initiatives to further reduce the companies carbon footprint. A long-time advocate, Natasha has always repurposed past season fabrics in each new collection to reflect the ongoing value in past season purchases highlighted with new complimentary designs. Diversity has been a very important aspect of the company. She has celebrated all ethnicities, sizes and ages of models in her Catwalks and Pre-Collection Look Books. Since Spring 2019, she went paperless and stopped printing Invitations, Credit Sheets and Press Releases and only shared all information via email.
The store will be the exclusive stocklist for Medicom Bear Brick in Mayfair merchandised with the Men’s Women’s and Kid’s Accessories, RTW and Fine Jewellery collections. There will be constant showcasing of collaborations to immerse customers is the total experience of shopping in the 21st century.
